Pontiac G8

Pontiac is rumored to introduce its upcoming Grand Prix replacement, the G8, from the little that’s been available, this car will be based on the Australian Holden commodore, this vehicle itself is no slouch, and if what very little impressions are available turn out to be true, this could give Pontiac another needed boost in the show rooms.
The car seems to be headed for a introduction at this year’s Chicago Auto Show, this car will join the Chrysler 300 as another RWD car that comes in at a more affordable price point.
This is great news for the consumer, rear wheel drive cars where all the norm in the seventies and what the American manufacturers seems to do very well, into the nineties and beyond, rear wheel drive became the province of the premium car marks.
With a good traction control system and possibly maybe an all wheel drive option down the road, the wonderful balance that a RWD car has over front wheel drive will finally become much more affordable than it has been in many a year.
