Corvette ZR1

The return of the Corvette ZR1 completes  the line up the the latest corvette line and finally completes the circle of the present corvette model line. The ZR1s last appearance during production of the C4 Corvette line was marked by lot of fanfare and great press but and by sales that would eventually wane.

The latest Super vette seems to have a better chance thanks to a much more significant difference between the ZR1 and the standard C6 AND Z06 models. Starting with a price tag of around 100.000 dollars and only two thousand first year production run, Chevy seems determined to make the car a rare beast in the eyes of the public and the rabid Corvette fan.

With over 620 horsepower and a rumored top speed of over 200 Mph, the latest ZR1 seems ready to add another great chapter in the over 50 year history of the Corvette.

Alonzo to Renault

Double world champion Fernando Alonzo has announced what many had already expected, that he would return the team that brought him two world championships and more importantly the number one driver status. Alonzo would end up returning to Mclaren after only a year when  then new rookie driver Louis Hamilton began to display driving skills and lap times that rivaled or beat Alonzos best.

With his return to Renault, Alonzo should be granted number 1 driver status and most likely will be able to structure the team around himself in the same fashion as multiple and retired world champion Michael Schumacher did.
